Bar scanner
What it is
The scanner goes through bars and places a mark where the selected feature is noticeably higher than in neighboring bars of the same coin: volume, delta, price and flow divergence, a tape burst, an open interest move, spot and futures divergence. It does not predict anything — it highlights where it is worth looking more closely. The more features coincide in one bar, the brighter the mark and the larger the number next to it.
The marks are placed by our scanner: it compares the coin's bars on screen with each other and marks those that stand out noticeably by the selected features.

Typical patterns: how they are read and how they are used. Examples from our history for these patterns will appear later — mechanical search has not found them yet, and we chose not to pick them by hand.
1. Several features coincided in one bar
How it is read: unusually much of everything at once: volume, delta, tape. Many treat such a bar as an event and watch the following bars.

2. “Price and flow diverge”
How it is read: strong delta against the candle color: people were buying but the candle is red, or vice versa. Many see this as a passive limit participant on the other side.

When it does not work
No pattern works every time: a mark explains better where things were unusual than what will happen next.
Common traps
- Comparison within the window: the threshold is calculated from the bars of the currently open range — on a quiet day even a small burst gets a mark.
- “Open interest inflow” also fires on a sharp outflow — the feature looks at the size of the change, not its sign.
- A mark is not a signal: it says “unusual here”, not “the move starts here”.
- Higher timeframes: the scanner does not work on daily charts — a week has too few bars to compare.

In the terminal: Bar scanner
Marks bars with unusual volume, strong delta, price–flow divergence, a tape burst, open interest inflow or spot–futures divergence. The set of criteria is in the row settings; the switch turns on the last chosen set (volume and delta at first).
If there are no marks, the row and a message say why: for example, on the daily timeframe a week holds too few bars, so there is nothing to search. Selection takes this coin's most notable bars — it marks where something happened, not an entry signal.
